Finland has been steadily growing as a popular study destination for international students. Located in the Scandinavian region of Europe, Finland boasts arguably the best educational system in the world, as per rankings. This makes it one of the best countries for international students for education abroad. Additionally, students should target Finland as their foreign study destination due to the strong performance of Finnish higher-education institutes in global rankings. There are 10 public universities in Finland, giving a wide variety of choices from undergraduate, masters, PhD and further graduate programs and in domains ranging from arts to science to design. Hence, the country has been successful is attracting a diverse range of foreign students from Bangladesh as well. As a stable country and economy, Finland boasts a friendly and welcoming environment for oversea students looking to pursue a quality education and eventually commencing for a successful career. The application period normally begins in December, running up until early February in certain cases, with classes starting in September. Although Finland has introduced tuition fees in the recent past, the universities extremely generous merit scholarship schemes to facilitate study abroad goals. Being public universities, the Finnish government funds the education and therefore, the universities are able to provide tuition fee waiver from 50%-100%.
