Germany has long been an extremely popular destination for foreign study. Every year, thousands of students move to Germany in order to pursue degree at all levels – undergraduate, masters, PhD and further graduate programs. One of the major factors that make Germany arguably one of the cheapest countries to study abroad for Bangladeshi students is that there are no tuition fees charged on international students! In other words, most of the degree programs essentially provide 100% scholarship to every foreign student getting admitted – making it one of the best countries for international students. Furthermore, being the biggest economy in Europe, Germany has been a heaven for overseas students with STEM background. It is not a surprise that German technologies and manufacturing capabilities have stunned the world, largely due to talented pool of foreign students who come pursue degrees and end up landing good jobs. German universities have top-notch educational quality and historically have been a lucrative destination for study abroad for Bangladeshi students. Normally, there are 2 semesters where students get admitted, namely Winter and Spring. Although most of the programs are fully taught in English, there are courses that might require some fluency in the German language. In addition, some German universities provide merit scholarships to subsidize the living expenses of education abroad. These scholarships for students help greatly in managing their monthly expenses, making it one of the best places to study abroad. Also, the German government provides few scholarship opportunities for Bangladeshi students. They are fully funded through the DAAD program and is focused on Development-related degrees. This is another great opportunity to gain a prestigious graduate school scholarship.

Other reasons why international students should apply abroad to Germany is due to their willingness to retain talented students after the successful competition of their degrees. The country provides a generous scheme of 1.5 years of post-study visa, allowing students ample time to look at a job in their field of study. Furthermore, students are allowed to work 20 hours part-time as well during their studies, rendering it much simpler for anyone to manage their living expenses. Moreover, German companies are world-famous when it comes to quality and efficiency and therefore, international students who are motivated to go the mile and build a life for themselves in Germany should have great opportunities to be successful.
